We welcome our Retreat Master, Allison DeLaney. She will guide us through our retreat in preparation of the coming of Our Lord.
Allison DeLaney grew up in Florida, the daughter of Chinese Jamaican immigrants. She has worked 27 years in healthcare as a physical therapist, Board Certified Chaplain, and mission leader. Allison earned a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida, followed by an M.A. in Theology from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, the same school that Pope Leo XIV! She is a graduate of the RUAH spiritual director program at Richmond Hill.
Allison’s ministry includes 8 years as Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator at Hospice House and Support Care of Williamsburg, 3 years as the Women’s Health and Pediatric Chaplain at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center and currently serves as Director of Mission for Bon Secours in Hampton Roads. Her passion is the integration of spiritual care as part of holistic healthcare and she has written articles, conducted research, and presented to various audiences on this topic.
Spaced among the talks is time for private reflection and a catered lunch.
